Alicia Wongel

Energy and Climate Researcher, Stanford University

I’ve been a researcher working on energy and climate-related projects at Stanford University for the past few years, also in collaboration with clean tech startups. I assessed technologies such as thermal energy storage and concentrated solar energy, and their roles in today’s and future energy systems. I recently moved to Vancouver, and I am finishing my research from here while consulting for some cleantech startups here in the city. With a background in physics, I like to think about how things work at a fundamental level and explain it in simple words.

I strive to do the most good with my career and life in general, and would love to connect with people who want to build something for the future that goes beyond making a profit.

Otherwise, I’m very interested in sports, I play a ball-hockey-like niche sport called floorball, and love going to sports events.
