Arun is the co-founder and CEO of Aloe – the world's first self-building personal general intelligence. Aloe is focused on the urgent challenge of building AI that people can genuinely trust, and on shaping the tools needed to help humans and human society thrive in the decades ahead.

Aloe represents a new species of AI that doesn't just use tools – it creates and evolves its own tools as it encounters new situations, enabling rapid and compounding improvement. It recently set a new state-of-the-art on the GAIA benchmark for generalist AIs, outclassing global competitors.

Arun is an AI researcher whose path began with cognitive science and philosophy, where he studied how human thinking works, and how it breaks. His career has spanned research, design, and founding multiple startups; his contributions to AI were recognized by the US with an Einstein visa before he chose to return to Canada from Silicon Valley to found Aloe. He combines technical depth with insatiable curiosity and values-driven leadership. He is a decade-long Vipassana meditator.
