Hamid Abdollahi is a serial entrepreneur and the Founder & CEO of MATT3R, a company at the intersection of AI, robotics, and real-world driving data. MATT3R enables smarter, safer autonomous mobility by turning everyday driving into a high-value data engine for validating and training next-gen vehicle systems.Previously, Hamid founded Recon Instruments, the world’s first smart eyewear company for sports, which was acquired by Intel in 2015. He also co-founded Novarc Technologies, a global pioneer in robotic welding.With a background in engineering and a deep interest in edge computing, sensors, and AI infrastructure, Hamid’s work bridges the physical and digital worlds. At MATT3R, he’s building the data infrastructure layer for the autonomous future — starting with a rapidly growing fleet of AI-enabled Tesla vehicles.He’s passionate about building from the edge, enabling open innovation, and making Vancouver a global hub for applied AI and robotics.
