Mirjana Prpa

Mirjana Prpa, PhD, brings an interdisciplinary perspective to solving complex problems of designing technology at the intersection of Mixed Reality (XR) and Human-computer Interaction. She applies her research and leadership to envision the future of XR from the human-centered perspective that amplifies ethical and just ways of designing new XR applications. Mirjana's work is at the intersection of art, science, and technology and has received international recognition at the Cultural Program at the Olympics in 2016 in Brazil, the Future of Science Art and Technology recognition by Leonardo Journal in 2018, and CHI 2020 Best Paper award. With experience in AR product management, research, and development, Mirjana leads an industry-focused XR lab at Khoury College of Computer Science, Northeastern University.
